Genocide accusation and votes on military aid
Lee has stated repeatedly that Israel is committing a genocide in Gaza and that the United States should stop sending it bombs, and she cosponsored the Block the Bombs Act, which would bar the sale of certain weapons to Israel. In 2024 she was one of only 37 House Democrats to vote against military aid to Israel, and in October 2023 she was one of the small group of members who voted against a resolution standing with Israel after the Hamas attack. She has been a leading progressive opponent of AIPAC, calling the pro-Israel group an existential threat to the Black community and its right to self-determination, and she has met with and praised the detained activist Mahmoud Khalil.
Antisemitism measures and her own statements
In December 2023 she voted against H.Res. 894, calling it a partisan resolution that politicized the rise in antisemitism and weaponized the Jewish community's pain.
