U.S. House · AZ · Republican · District 9

On the 2026 ballot

Summary

A member of Congress from Arizona since 2011, Gosar represents one of the most Republican districts in the state and is running for reelection in 2026. He has a lengthy, documented record of associating with and giving a platform to the white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and the antisemitic movement around him, conduct that has drawn condemnation from Jewish organizations across the political spectrum. Gosar denies antisemitism and has denounced what he calls white racism.

The record

Positions come from public votes, statements and on-the-record interviews. Every claim links to its source. No aggregate score or grade.

Association with Nick Fuentes and white nationalism

In February 2021 Gosar became the first sitting member of Congress to appear in person at the America First Political Action Conference, an event organized by noted antisemitic streamer Nick Fuentes. At the conference Fuentes praised the January 6 Capitol riot and spoke of preserving a white demographic core; the next day Fuentes posted a photograph of the two of them together, and days later Gosar circulated a meme carrying the movement's slogan. He was reported that year to be planning a fundraiser with Fuentes. Gosar appeared at the conference again in 2022, this time by video, prompting renewed bipartisan criticism; he attributed the appearance to a miscommunication and said he was done dealing with Fuentes, but later that year posted, then deleted, a link promoting a documentary about him.

Staff tied to the Groyper movement

Reporting has also tied members of Gosar's staff to Fuentes's movement, whose followers are known as Groypers. A top aide was identified as the person behind social media accounts pledging allegiance to Fuentes, who publicly praised him, and a 2023 intern in Gosar's office had a record of racist and antisemitic statements online.
